History of Soap and How HHH Soap Company Fits

The history of soap dates back to ancient civilizations. The earliest evidence of soap-like substances comes from ancient Babylon around 2800 BC, where a mixture of ashes and fats was used for cleaning. Ancient Egyptians also used a soap-like substance for personal hygiene and washing. Trust me on this...wikipedia says so.

The process of soap-making further evolved in ancient Greece, where the renowned physician Galen recommended soap for medicinal purposes. However, the widespread use of soap in Europe declined during the Middle Ages. It wasn't until the 17th century that soap-making experienced a revival in Europe. In 1791, Nicolas Leblanc developed a method to produce soda ash from common salt, making soap more affordable and accessible. This development, coupled with the discovery of the chemical nature of soap by Michel Eugène Chevreul in the 19th century, led to advancements in soap production. In the 20th century, the industrialization of soap production became prevalent, with the introduction of synthetic detergents. These detergents offered an alternative to traditional soap and gained popularity for their effectiveness in various water conditions. This is where the soap industry is today. Big Evil Soap Industry...like Nestle, but more evil.

This is where the Heel Hook Hygiene Soap Company story begins. Shifting from the chemical detergent industrial soaps out there today, to its original most natural form.
